About My Journey

Hello there, I'm Sanin Hodo and soccer has been a big part of my life as long as I could remember. Growing up I would always watch the Bosnian Nation team play where I saw my hero for the first time Edin Dzeko. Watching him score all those goals for Bosnia inspired me to play even more and score goals. I started off at Toluca Futbol Academy, I was a young teen with a huge passion and natural talent for the game. I started off my soccer journey playing as a Forward and started off great for the club scoring and assisting over 20 G/A my first 2 seasons. Until I had a falling out with the new coach. I then moved on to High School soccer where I played my 10th grade year. I didn't find myself fitting in with everyone and it was hard to adapt to the team and the new playing style, so I never came back to it. Then I decided to join a Bosnian Futsal league which is a 6v6 soccer game on a smaller field and smaller goals, much faster pace to the game. I formed my own team called FC Drina, a team full of friends with all the same objective of winning the Bosnian futsal league. We managed to secure back-to-back 3rd places our first two seasons, after this we had a down trend and a tough time gathering ourselves as a team. A few years later with Maturity we managed to reach the finals and get 2nd falling short again. The team eventually fell apart. During this time with futsal I discovered I was an amazing defender, and who knew how fun it would be knocking people of the ball. With this new Discovery, I joined an Amateur league in Atlanta with a team Called Peachtree FC. Here I expanded my new skills as a defender and became great, and with the team we managed to finish top of the league and get promoted to the Semi-Professional league of Georgia in first Season with the club.
